Kids on Campus: Fowler Museum

Fowler Museum @ UCLA Kids in the Courtyard: Decoding Stories!
 1:00-4:00 PM, June 4th

The Fowler Museum at UCLA explores global arts and cultures with an emphasis on works from Africa, Asia, the Pacific and the Americas—past and present. It's a great place to bring kids (ask for an activities pack when you arrive). Admission is FREE. There "Kids in the Courtyard" events are highly recommended.

Next month: The Moche peoples of ancient Peru (100-800 C.E) portrayed complex scenes on painted vessels, depicting everything from daily life to rituals and legends. The scenes were created with such detail that archaeologists today can decode these images to learn about how Moche people lived. Come out and be an archaeologist for a day! Create your own coded picture language and see if others can decode your secret messages.
